Loved this book, as I loved the first book in the series also, (Safe Refuge). Such wonderful characters you grow to love and cheer for. The story is rich in human nature and there are some tough issues tackled that can, and often do, break the reader’s heart. Not a fluff story; this book has a lot of meat and yes, sweet sweet romance that keeps you guessing for a long time. I highly recommend it for a good read, but do get Safe Refuge that first book also because you learn how this area of Lake Geneva WI evolved from an horrific tragedy in the early 1870’s. Despite living not terribly far from there, I was never aware of its origin. This writer does her homework on the time period, the history and the ways of the era. I love the deep points of view of the characters and their strong faith. Highly recommend so curl up and start reading!
