It’s been a while since I posted on this blog. I apologize for my absence, but I’ve not been sitting around eating chocolates and sitting back with my feet up. I’ve been busy writing, participating in book/author events, and writing.
I am back and hope to show up here a lot more often than I have of late. The total eclipse just happened in Carbondale, IL, about a six-hour drive south of me. It’s been mostly cloudy here in the Chicago metro area, so even though we had approximately 87 percent of coverage we did not see much. It did get a bit darker for a couple minutes, but that’s about it. I saw it better on TV.
In my more personal news, a week from this Friday night (September 1st), I will be in Palestine, Illinois, a small village on the banks of the Wabash river, for the Pioneer City Rodeo that takes place every Labor Day weekend. That is the setting for my book, Second Chance Love. The townspeople are very excited to have a book set in their town and at the rodeo, they will introduce me at each of the three rodeos. Also, I’ll be signing my book during their street fair on Saturday (from opening until 1 p.m.) and Sunday (from 11 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.). I am very excited, as you can imagine!
I’ll be sure to post some pictures on the flip side! If you are interested in purchasing Second Chance Love, you can get a print or Kindle copy at Amazon by going to my Author Page: http://amzn.to/2KQPSCC.
